The 1997/1998 CD has excellent sound quality, three bonus tracks, lyrics to all songs, some pictures and generous thanks to fans who helped make this CD possible. The Swedish CD was sold at the Virtual X-Mas Party 13 Dec 1997 in Lund, Sweden (wrongly stating that it includes two additional extended bonus tracks.) (I wrote the liner notes for this Swedish CD by the way.) My only complaints about this CD are that it should have more bonus tracks: Cite phosphore, Saturdays in Silesia (single remix), Pile ou face, and the two extended versions. Tracy made some edits on some of the tracks, here are his comments that he sent to me via email 24 July 1997: "On 'Just a Sound in the Night' I chopped 8 bars out of the intro because it was always too long. And on 'I Want to See the Light' I did three cuts to the middle section and lead-in to the outro which basically just removed some repetitive junk. I think these cuts make the track tighter and should have been done in the first place."

Contains six additional tracks compared to the original LP (three rare tracks and three extended versions). However, the sound is rather dull, and all or many tracks are taken from vinyl (audible surface noise). For some reason four tracks are also shorter than the original versions (they fade out prematurely). Furthermore, they could have put much more effort into the booklet: apart from some credits there is no info or photos whatsoever. They should also have stuck to the original LP track order and add all six extra tracks at the end.

At this time (1996) Tracy consciously avoided including tracks from the 1982 LP because he wanted to keep the options open for a full CD release of that album. Still, this is a great-sounding collection with a lot of care and love put into the booklet: The story of RY (albeit short), comments from Tracy himself on every track included, musician credits, basic discography, black and white photos of RY, live posters and a primitive lyrics sheet, and finally full colour pictures of every RY release!

"With the CD now out of print and the album celebrating its 10 [sic!] year anniversary in 2014, Artoffact Records issues a special vinyl version of To The Goddess Electricity. The new edition is remastered for vinyl and will include updated cover art, two previously unreleased [sic!] bonus tracks, and a hi-res WAV download code. The vinyl edition comes in three colours: black, blue, and yellow. Limited to 300 copies worldwide [100 for each colour]."

On discogs.com it says: "Several tracks are different mixes or even arrangements to the original 1999 versions" but I can not hear any difference apart from two tracks that are shortened/extended.
