"The standard version of this record plays at 33.33 r.p.m., however the pre-
release DJ version plays at 45 r.p.m. and features a spoken introduction by
John Foxx. The original picture sleeve bears the Helga Press logo on the back
of the sleeve, whereas the re-issue does not. This single was reissued in
July 1981 - the same catalogue number and artwork were used." Thanks to
Cerise Reed for this information.

Slow Motion 3.27 / Hiroshima Mon Amour [Alternate mix] 4.40 / Quiet Men 4.08 / Dislocation 2.55 (cassette: CDWIP 6691)
Chris Eckersley gave me this info on the cassette: "This was one of Island's experimental '1+1' cassette series
that had all the tracks on one side, the other side was blank so you could record your own music on it.
It came in a black cardboard box similar to a cigarette packet."
"Hiroshima Mon Amour [Alternate mix]" was researched by Rodney Meiklejohn and confirmed by producer Steve Lillywhite, who stated:
"The cassette [and 3-track 7-inch] single sounds like a slightly different mix to me. The echo levels on the sax solo was something I would do manually so each mix would have a different feel.
Maybe when the cassette [and 3-track 7-inch] single was mastered they [Island Records] just used the wrong mix. We would have about 8 mixes every reel of tape and we never wiped over another one.”
Rodney Meiklejohn also informed me: "The ‘alternate mix’ starts at the equivalent 0:26? point of the ‘Ha! Ha! Ha!’ album mix and fades out at the equivalent 5:06? point
(hence the shortened 4':40 duration), but appears to include the unedited recording of the saxophone track (as played by guest musician C.C. of Gloria Mundi),
although with different treatments within the mix, compared to that of the album mix."
